Biergarten Brewery & Kitchen, Whitefield

Thursday afternoon is best time to hangout with colleagues. Our agenda was to skip the CC (crowd and cops). Bangalore's CC (crowd and cops) are most crazy on Friday's and Saturdays.

Location and Parking  

Location of this place is right on the AECS main road, right next to the metro construction site. During peak hours this place has hell lot of traffic. 
They  have valet parking but we were made to park ourselves as they have ample of space due to non peak hours.

Ambiance and Store look   

It has two floors and store uses vibrant green colors. Definitely, Biergarten Brewery & Kitchen has set the ambiance for party animals and humans. You will love the mood set by the music. 

Staff   

Staff served us drinks and food with patience and smile. This is one advantage of visiting a place like this on non peek hours on Thursday.

We loved the beer, food and company.

Recommendation: Yes, visit them with family and you are gonna enjoy the place.

Lakeview Milkbar, MG Road

Historical and Landmark store Lakeview Milkbar is  located right at MG Road after Cafe Coffee day (when travelling from Brigade road junction to Kumble circle). This store has a history and is located at this same place from decades.

The store is usually open until 1 AM and generally every one enjoy's their ice-cream, sandwiches, shakes while sitting in their car.  But this time we did just opposite.

Location and Parking  

Well lighted place on M G Road and parking has to be identified, hunted on road close the outlet (if you want to be served your dishes while you are in your car).

Ambiance and Store look   

It has two floors and store uses vibrant colors. 

Staff   

Staff is old (by age and by service). Staff expect a good tip from you. Smile and curtsy is missing from staff behavior. Staff is really busy in serving ice creams, cakes and snacks. 

Food   

We had 
a. Lychee ice cream sundae, 
b. Sizzling Browne, 
c. Hot coffee. 

All of the dishes were "OK". Browne in sizzling brownie was not fresh. Nuts used on the brownie were of poor quality. But surprisingly we loved Lychee ice cream sundae.

What pinched us?

a. Toilet, this store do not have a toilet. Any expected mothers, elders and adults with filled bladder are not advised to visit this place. We have to walk to Cafe Cofee Day and use their rest room.

Recommendation: Yes, visit them once, however i feel they are over rated. I will suggest you to take a stroll and buy a scoop of ice-cream instead of sandwich or sundae. Although friends and family will like the venue.

Big Mishra Pedha, Jayanagar

Big Mishra Pedha is located right at the heart of Jayanagar. There is no way you can miss this store. The store is supper crowded in evening!
You are served with array of snacks and sweets (mewa, khowa, Bengali, south specialties...).

Location and Parking

Amazingly located near Janta bazar and close to Jayanagar shopping district. 
Very difficult to get road side parking. Either park above Jayanagar bus stand or use auto.

You do not bother as they are busy serving you. You get a smile when you smile. 

Food

We tried Pani Puri, Dhokla, Kachori and Vada pav. Was disappointed with Dhokla but rest all was delicious.

Anand Sweets And Savouries

Anand Sweets And Savouries is a North Indian Cuisine store. The store serve you
sweets but are not limited to Specialty of south. They specialize in array of sweets and Indian snacks.

Don't forget to pick up fresh Panner, Rabdi or Moong dal halwa. If all this is too sweet you may choose Khamand Dhokla, Khandwai

(Jan 21st, 2018I again visited this place few weeks back. No change in the restaurant Service.
Staff had the same smile however their managers at counter or teller have to improve on personality and customer treatment)

This is one stop shop for vegetarian north Indian food.

Location is easily accessible from main road as itis right opposite to Royal Meenakshi mall on Bannerghtta road. However you will struggle with parking. There is NO road side parking available.

Store has vibrant colors and these colors are standard across Anand outlets. There are pictures of Old delhi, chandni chauk depicting Delhi and it's connection with food.  

Staff

Friendly, smiling and cooperative, especially people present at the food counter.

We tried bunch of stuff including Rabari and other common food. We absolutely loved it.

Vasudev Adigas, Bannerghatta Road,

Vasudev Adigas is one a very popular south Indian food chain in Bangalore. You can go in and have a satisfying meals.
Let's find out about this outlet in Bannerghatta road.

This outlet is opposite to IIM bangalore and close to popular hospitals like Apollo and Fortris

Our visit to this place was on Monday for lunch. I will expect this to be less crowded but this place was full of people. Not a place to stand. Hmm.

Location and Parking
Location of this place is amazing, however no parking. The road is narrow and most of the time you have to park at a considerable distance.

Ambiance and Store look

This is an old restaurant with seating space as well. So ambiance is not clean.

Staff
I can assume that their restaurant will not look jazy but there is an impact on staff as well. Arrogant staff and very lethargic service. At the end of the service they expect TIP, TIP, TIP

Food
We took meals and food was below average.

What pinched us?

a. Restaurant was not clean and hygienic 

b. Staff morale is low

Asharfilal Kulfi

Asharfilal Kulfi - near DLF new town is a tuck shop for ice cream and kulfi. This place is well lighted and clean next to Krishna Kuteera. 

Seating and Parking
It doesn't have a place to sit and park your vehicle. For vehicle parking you can park on road as long as there is some space.

These guys have kept few stools to sit down and enjoy kulfi.

Our Kulfi
We had Pista and Regular Malai Kulfi. Kulfi was good but did not find it to be fresh.
Our kulfi was brittle and hard not as smooth as it should be. 

Recommendation: Enjoy the kulfi, it is a good place to grab sweet post lunch and dinner.

Aladdin Mediterranean

Review is for Vegetarian food served in  Aladdin. Being a vegeterain, this is my go to place and is well connected by public transport.
I must say it is one among the best places for fresh Mediterranean food buffet. This place do not need a reservation and you can walk in.

My visit was on a Saturday and I will definitely recommend this with full heart. 

Here is my review for what i had
a. I loved the ambiance, however there was no one to guide on "what to do"
b. Pita bread is large and is amazilgly soft.
c. There spicy hummas is delicious
d. Although, i did not like there pasta salad but mashroom salad was quite good.
e. Hummas - I am not a fan of spicy hummas and i love original hummas. Avoid 
the spicy one. Stick to original Hummas

I would expect them to serve Falafal with the meals but they charge for it. Falafal can be imporved and they are dry.

Final word: Go for it. You will enjoy!

On side note, for Falafal, I cannot forget "Falafal king" in Boston, MA

Krishna Kuteera, Hulimavu, Bannerghatta road

Krishna Kuteera near DLF new town is a restaurant similar to Kamath or one of your fovorite and popular sagar food chain.

Sunday..., is the last day of weekend and we already spent most of the day hanging around with friends. So no food was cooked at home.

We were on Baneerghatta road and headed towards BTM, but took a U turn towards our home and stopped by this place. This is not the first time we are visiting this restaurant. 

Location and Parking

Location and parking is on the main road opposite to Simply Indian.

Ambiance and Store look
No doubt the restaurant is clean and have a neat ambiance. Store has place to eat outside and seating as well. I will prefer not to use the dining space as it is not clean and hygienic.

Our Order

Jira Rice, Panner Butter Masala, Tandoori Rooti. 

Over all quantity was sufficient. We loved the freshness. The roti was made up of maida and whole wheat was not used. 

Over all this place is worth trying and is value for money. We will visit this place again.

Tea Bar, Magrath Rd, Ashok Nagar, (Garuda Mall)

After having a satisfied tea at  Chai Point , We headed to Tea Bar a small outlet outside Garuda mall.

Few things which caught my eyes is Price Point. The small tea costed me 22 Rs with GST.

Ambiance and Store look

This is no fancy store and that is the probable reason their tea has an appropriate pricing. They do not have a seating space but there is plenty space provided by Garuda mall to sit and enjoy your sip of Tea.

Our Order

Ginger Tea, The tea was steaming hot and was served in paper glasses. I could taste and smell the flavor of Ginger in Ginger tea. The Ginger Tea was stronger the Chai Point Ginger tea and was thicker then the one serve @ Chai Point.

The ratio of Water, Milk, Sugar was also appropriate. 

Price

I paid, 22 Rs with Taxes for a cup of small tea, by the way they offer Medium and Large size of beverage as well. 

The pricing of the Tea will not hurt my pocket.

Other Chai Options near Bannerghatta Road

You can't go wrong with your Chai in Disney Bakery in BTM layout. The only problem is it has no place to sit and their are insane smokers.
