Kababi's - Bannerghatta Road

Kababi's - Bannerghatta Road (Karnataka, India).

We recently moved to Bannerghatta road and we were looking for a food options on a tired weekday.

We started with an intention to have Chinese cuisine but we ended at Kababi's situated at Bannerghatta Road restaurant.

Date and Time: Wednesday, 5th March, 2014 at 10.00 pm.

Restaurant Cuisine: North Indian

Nonfood experience

Parking
The restaurant is on the main road and there is no sufficient parking place. We visited the restaurant in middle of the week on dinner; usually this time is non-peak hours for a restaurant.

No valet parking available.

Restaurant Entry
The restaurant is on the first floor on main road. You have to use stairs as I did not notice the elevators. No great ambiance at the entry of the restaurant.

Wheel chair access
No, this is disappointing.

Waiting area
No waiting lounge or seating space

Seating Experience
We approached the person in the restaurant and he showed us the way towards seating. We liked the ambiance of the restaurant. The restaurant had the yellow lights and lamps all over the place. They had the comfortable seating and large windows overlooking the Bannerghatta Road. The restaurant used the modern architecture, décor and lighting.

We liked the ambiance and the staff of the restaurant is friendly during non-peak hours.

Food experience
Following was our dinner order
Hara Bhara Kabab – The serving was enough for two and our 3 year old son enjoyed the Kabab’s. We expected the kabab’s to be roasted but they were deep fried.

Lasooni Palak Shorbey – The Shorbey/soup was served hot and we had to be careful before we have it. The spices started jumping on the tongue and we loved it. We like hot (Spicy) food.
However our 3 year old was not able to have it because of the strong garlic essence in the soup/shorbey.

MushroomTawa Masala – As expected we noticed the restaurant served us Button mushroom. The recipe made on Grill (Tawa) is expected to be crispy and tender. The one presented to use was greasy and non-crispy and had strong spice fragrant.

Steamed Rice - The rice served was sufficient for two people but it was not cooked well.

Breads – Plain Roti

The breads were served hot and we liked it.

Cost
We paid 650 Rs including taxes. The restaurant is value for money and will not pinch your pocket.

Restaurant Exit
Smooth exit. It was already 11.15 and it looked like they were just waiting for us. We got the signal and it’s a signal to move on.
We tipped at the restaurant because we liked their service. They were prompt and quick.

Time spent in the restaurant
1.5 hrs

The good experience
Seating and Service.

The bad experience
Presentation and overall quality.

My Recommendation
Try it once. It may be a good option for your regular pickup/dine-in restaurant.
