Khaaja Chowk, Whitefield

One fine day after couple of nominations of top level entries, Khaaja Chowk was the team’s choice to enjoy our Friday meals.

Restaurant Cuisine: North Indian

Parking
The restaurant has a private parking space in the basement.

Restaurant Entry
The restaurant is on the main road and has seating space at the entrance with giant umbrellas to save people from heat.

Wheel chair access
No, this is disappointing. A common problem with accessibility among most of the restuarant.

Waiting area
No waiting area, if open area of the restaurant is not occupied you may grab some seats and relax under the sky.

Seating Experience
We were in the restaurant for a buffet. The restaurant was over crowded.
People were lined up till the entry of the restaurant - to know about there waiting time.

I recall my experience of standing in a queue to grab a movie ticket for a block buster movie Khal Nayak (a bollywood action thriller film), released in 1993 produced and directed by Subhash Ghai.

Order experience
We grabbed the seat as soon as the manager waved the green signal. Some time back, I read an article to setup a dinner table. The rule says: “the Knives and spoons to the right of the central plate, and forks to the left”, but they were all missing.

Food experience
Starting with Salad is always my preference but there was none at the stock, we were served papdi chaat on the table and it was good.
In Starters they had Paneer and vegetable seekh kabab, both were good.

It has been quite a long time when we visited this restaurant and I do not remember the quality of food. The quality of food was crushed by the service and hygiene around the restaurant. This is another restaurant where we have to get up from our seats and hunt for the quarter plate/side plate. No towels.
How can this size of restaurant do the mistake of not serving the guest properly.

Cost
We paid 465 Rs (approx.) per person including taxes.

Time spent in the restaurant
1.5 hrs

Restaurant exit
No one care’s about our entry and they did not bother when we left. The restaurant manager and other boys were extremely busy in managing the restaurant.
The good experience
Parking

The bad experience
Hygiene, Cleanliness, Service

My Recommendation
No – Felt bit costly in comparison to service provided, though the starters were good.
